Alhamdulillah, yesterday we celebrated our 6th wedding anniversary. Time flies so fast that we have stayed together for six years with two kids. Twelve years if I count the day since we met at Newcastle train station in Ester 1997. Although there were trying times that made me wonder whether it is worthwhile staying but I did anyway. We spent the day travelling by train to Mid Valley, had lunch at Pizza Hut and visited Backyard Dinosaur of which Nabilah enjoyed but Najihah was terrified. On the way out from the exhibits, the kids wanted to play sand art at Astro Ceria booth, which fortunately for us that the materials are free. I waited for them to finish their arts and while waiting one of MAKNA personnel approached me for donation via credit card or bank account. I hesitated thinking that we need every cent that we have to survive for a few month, but promised that I will look into it once we get control over our income again. I asked Nabilah if she wanted to try out the hula hoop contest with Abg Zoey (he is very cute in person and I can say he is very polite too) from Gerak Geri Gasing and she went to him straight away. After few tries, she managed to get 10 hoops in a round and won a big lollipop and fridge magnet. Najihah wanted the same but being quite small compared to the big hula hoop, she did not finish 10 hoops in a round. Nabilah swung again for few times and eventually she won another lollipop for her sister. She was truly a kind sister. Two lollipops in my handbag on our way home. It was quite a coincidence because traditional gift for the 6th anniversary is candy or iron, and for modern gift is wood. I always follow traditional gift since our first anniversary and this time, Astro gave the children candies which at the same gifts for both of us too. Najihah slept on our way home while Nabilah tried hard to stay awake until bedtime. I prepared tea time, cooked and ate dinner together before going to bed at 10 pm. It was an exhausting day that the kids slept almost instantly when the lights went off, but definitely a trip worth remembering.
p/s: Happy 6th Anniversary my dear husband, who can be annoying at times but definitely always the one I am looking forward to see when I wake up every morning. Love you always and forever.
