Donation or Scam?

Yesterday I went to Guardian at Warta, Bangi to buy pacifiers for my daughter. On the way, I was stopped by a lady who claimed that she is working for orphanage house (charity organisation). She was trying to ask for 'seikhlas hati' donation whereby they will give a book on some sort of 'doa' and religious story. Being a good samaritan, I looked out for change and gave her RM3, because that is all I have to spare after I bought the pacifiers. To my surprise, she said "If you give me RM3, I will take it but you will not get the book. You have to pay 'seikhlas hati' about RM7, or RM 10 or more, for the book." Ya right, a donation of certain amount is not a donation at all. I don't mind if she said the book will cost only a certain amount less than what is sold in bookshop and I got a resit for donation that I can get tax rebate. But no, she said any amount that I can give, and I got a book, with a hidden agenda to get at least RM7 from everyone she approaches. Very dishonest group of people. She is very very unsuitable for this type of charity work.
