I love it. Love the woodiness smell in my house last night. The furniture from IKEA finally arrived. Two Billy bookcases, two Vika tables and two Snile chairs. I managed to coaxed my DH into buying IKEA stuffs for our tiny study room. Being small, we could not fix normal tables sold at our family furniture shop at Bdr Bukit Mahkota. Too big, could not fit in. The idea of having IKEA furniture in that room was for our convenient and the smart-looking bookcases and tables made them irresistible to have one in our new study room. The slight misunderstanding in assembling the chairs did not put us down of having to assemble more IKEA furniture tonight after DH exam. The kids love our white chairs and they used them to watch TV instead of our leather sofa. Now that the study room is nearly complete, I bought stationeries for our work at home projects. We wanted to make every ‘rezeki’ halal and that include the use of our own stationeries. I have not been doing much work at home projects lately so, I did not really care but when DH said he wanted to make full use of his expertise in statistical analysis using SPSS, EViews and other bunch of softwares, for training and consultancy work, I think it is timely that I do complete organization of his stuffs, and mine too. Couple of years back, I told him to utilize his skill to get more income but the comfort zone is still there. It amazed me that he can do difficult analysis in a very short time, providing advice for his students, write long list of research papers and eventually went for his PhD. Although the postgraduate thing is a long way to be realized, I still envy him of everything that he has done. I still remember long time ago, he said being an economist is his dream since his secondary school. When his teacher asked what his ambition is, he said he wanted to deal with money, so he wanted to be an economist. Unlike me, once I dreamt of becoming a veterinarian, but I ended up being an engineer. I hates Physics but I ended up doing work related with EMC. I still like the smell of IKEA furniture, though.
New study room, it is a blessing for us :o)
