... and there is someone that you did not expect to give a fairly sympathetic remark on your tiredness, you will definitely feel cherished and happier than before. That was exactly what I felt this evening when clocking out from office. I wished I could sit down and chat but I was too tired to stop. I just gave a very faint remark 'project is closing, many work to be done' to him. On my way to the car, I remembered he wanted to tell me why he asked about the quote. This morning, we spoke about a bug in the new system but I don't really care about it. I was very busy with phone calls with the new insurance guy and getting the data from government, and put him to wait for quite a long time. I don't know when, but somehow the connection was there as I have been looking up high on his work since I became his mentee in 2001. It was such a long time. I hate it when he was in the administration department because he was the one who act like the 'pengawas'. After going back to technical field last year, he became easier to connect with. This kind of people will bring the company good, just hope that he will serve the company for many many more years.. after 19 years in service.
Okay that does it.. now I know that I can be easily connected to people from non-technical field and IT field. My DH is an economist, who is into IT and GPS navigation gadgets (he got Mac, nuvi, O2 pda etc), my IT guy who takes care of my beloved servers is an IT masters with an Economic degree, and this one, my past mentor also an MBA holder with a Communication degree. Talk about deja vu, I cross path with people who either involved in counting stock price, or working with gadgets. Oh yes, another one, my immediate boss who is an inventor. Not much varieties, I suppose. These people make me wonder all the time, how on earth they can work with those machines as if they are talking to them. Hahaha...
I just remembered that I need to write about my love story to the magazine. Hope to be paid this time round. Good nite!
