Today was the event. We woke up very early in the morning and rushed the kids to IIUM Stadium in Gombak. Quite far to travel since we live in the suburb, border of Selangor. We arrived on time, and it was really hot inside the stadium. The kids were dressed and made up for marching and games. Najihah was reluctant to let go her daddy but eventually she joined the team. My kids, both of them took part in the marching and traditional dancing performance. Nabilah was at the front row dancing but Najihah was at the back standing and watching other people doing their workout. I guess she must had stage fright since this is her first public performance. Her daddy took most of the pictures while I was sitting at the bench. Other parents were too busy taking videos and photos of their children performing, blocking other people (who sat on the benches) views. I moved aside to the students' area after the opening ceremony and met my children. They were basically sweating heavily as the stadium's exhaust fans were shut off after the ceremony. Dumb. Najihah took part in the Seek Your Sweets in the Flour game, and she was the first one to hand in her basket full of sweets. It was quite fascinating to see her carefully pull out the sweets one by one till the last one and she managed to get quite a lot. She did not take even one sweet into her pocket. Nabilah took part in three games of which I did not see them clearly because the other parents, once again, were gathering too near the game area. I was amazed to see how patience Nabilah was while trying to put a sock on her team-mate feet. She has a lot of courage and patience to do it. I was very proud of both of them. Then, the prize giving ceremony came. Both of them got their trophies and posed proudly for the photos.
