Morning meeting...

This morning I quickly had my breakfast before the morning meeting. It was such a pain that the bosses decided they have to use ‘sugar cane’ in order to get everyone in the hall before 7.15 am. Well, it was understood the intention of punctuality and positive change but treating adult with school-children like method is no way one of professional management. The HR HOU and her assistant were prefects this morning where they have calculated 15% of the staffs are 5 minutes late to the meeting. Nak kata pandai, tak de lah pandai sangat. Last time, DOT was the one who monitored whoever coming in late or MIA during the morning meeting but it was done unintentionally and it was kind of funny the way she used to treat everyone of us. After she left, no one care to monitor the attendance, and I think many staffs skip the morning meeting that has boring agenda. Who wants to know best practices of such units over and over? We already know what they are doing. We talked, communicated and read everywhere things that our colleagues do. What is really important is that important news are highlighted during the session, leadership shown in motivating the people and the workers share success story that they had, besides learning new words every week. That is what really important in this meeting. I am not sure how many percent of the staff really appreciates the existence of this morning meeting, except for the New Year Address on the first week of January and End of Year Review of the company performance. Oh yes, the past few months they have shown the company performance for the past quarters and now have stop – perhaps the rescue plan is still under way? I don’t know. What I readily know is that, I will get ME (and hopefully an EE for a profound results) for my projects and I have already contributed RM300,000++ in terms of project revenue and services acquired because the project already closed this week within time.

 

I spent the whole morning after the briefing working on my stuffs expansion, and mystery shoppers’ recruitment. It was fun, and I realize the sooner I build another blog on these stuffs, the more income I will get for the freelance work.. talking about niche market, I think I have found one. Very fun-licious indeed.
