One down, one up..

That was a good thing to have two systems readily configured. When the real time failed, the backup system can take over almost immediately. Well, it will take some time to redirect the traffic, but hot swap option is there. I was awaken by Najihah at the wee hours and decided to have a look at my checklist assignment. It is not easy to come up with a checklist that you are not familiar with. I was supposed to do the work for the past 5 years but somehow, it did not cross my mind to have such list because I am the only one who did it. Overtime, I was carried away for other research work and the system was going astray. This year I wanted to make it right. The installer was quite unhappy to see that the network is sick but it was because of the sensors performance, not because the central processor. We will install another GPS clock on top of our neighbour's roof, learn about the database and try to find why the online system does not work. We were running on the backup system at the moment, and it is not good for acceptance test this Friday. Oh dear, I really need this contract to end, by all means. Hope today will be a better day for all of us.
